Problem Statement

Asset management company experimenting rapid growth of 30% per year. Focus on business development led to reporting and data analytics capabilities falling behind. Reports from different funds have different formatting, structure, and regulations. In addition, key metrics are extracted and calculated from manually scrapped data from several sources. Senior analysts spent a lot of time creating reports and performing complex calculations. On the other hand, the available software does not contemplate innovative and varied type of transactions being executed making it difficult to manage their liquidity and have a clear investment strategy in an integrated manner.

Objectives

  • Align business objectives with performance metrics to propose a business intelligence solution.
  • Design and implement a digital solution for financial transactions that are not included in their asset management system.
  • Automate complex calculations and data validation.
  • Design a data warehouse on the cloud to integrate all the extracted data from external and internal sources allow for future software migration or addition.
  • Standardize performance metrics and create a uniform reporting methodology for board meetings and operational meetings.
  • Automate client reports that were on time and had all the necessary data

Data warehouse

Posibilia implemented a data warehouse on premises using SSIS for the ETL process and SSAS to configure the analytical database used via live connection with Power BI.

Posibilia implemented code source control and database management alerts.
Posibilia provided Client with its data dictionary and data warehouse architecture documentation.

In the data warehouse, many transformations, categorizations, and groupings were added per Client's requirement to meet visualization needs without major ERP adjustments.

Sales App

Posibilia developed a low-code app in Power Apps to manage client closing, management, portfolios and details.

Client's specifications required significant customization of third-party apps, so Posibilia provided a custom app that met Client's needs at a lower cost that any of the available solutions available.

App was integrated to data warehouse and Power BI and was tailored for Client's particular needs.
